摘要 Withtheimprovementofseismicobservationsystem,moreandmoreobservationsindicatethatearthquakesmaycauseseismicvelocitychange.However,theamplitudeandspatialdistributionofthevelocityvariationremainsacontroversialissue.RecentactivesourcemonitoringcarriedoutadjacenttoWenchuanFaultScientificDrilling(WFSD)revealedunambiguouscoseismicvelocitychangeassociatedwithalocalMs5.5earthquake.Here,wecarryoutforwardmodelingusingtwo-dimensionalspectralelementmethodtofurtherinvestigatetheamplitudeandspatialdistributionofobservedvelocitychange.ThemodeliswellconstrainedbyresultsfromseismicreflectionandWFSDcoring.Ourmodelstronglysuggeststhattheobservedcoseismicvelocitychangeislocalizedwithinthefaultzonewithwidthof*120mratherthandynamicstronggroundshaking.Andavelocitydecreaseof*2.0%withinthefaultzoneisrequiredtofittheobservedtraveltimedelaydistribution,whichcoincideswithrockmechanicalexperimentandtheoreticalmodeling.
