摘要 ThispaperexaminestheconstructionofidentityinHugue'sbrothersmovie,TheBookofElisettinginanAmericapost-apocalypticworlddestroyedbynuclearwarandenvironmentaldisasters.Economicrelationsinthisworldwithouttimeorhistoryandwithoutproductionofgoodsandcommodities,arebasedonancientpracticessuchasbarter.Thegoodsareexchangedforgoodsaccordingtotheneedandthecurrencylostitsmeaningbeforethesupremeusefulness.Essentialitemstohumanlifelikewaternowhaveaveryhighvalueduetoitscompletescarcity.Eli(playedbyDenzelWashington)touredtheUnitedStatesfor30yearswestwardcirclingthewastelandleadingtheonlyexistingcopyoftheKingJamesversionoftheBible.Thenhereachesthetown,whichisunderthecontrolofCarnegie,thevillain,whoseambitionistohavetheholyBibleinordertoexercisepower.Inthisworldfullofshortages,powerbelongstotheoldthathasthememoryofthepast.TextsofGiddens,Beck,Lash,Benveniste,andMarxcomposethetheoreticalapparatusthatallowunderstandinghowtoreconstructtheidentityinaworldincrisis,andnoshortageofcompletestorywithoutmemorycardwiththemovementofgoodsexcludingcurrency.
