Sufficiently diffused attachment of nitrogen arc by gasdynamic action

摘要 Forrealizingdiffusedanodeattachmentinpurenitrogenarcs,aspecialarcplasmageneratorwasdesignedandcombinedwithsuitableworkingparameterssuchasgasflowrateandarccurrent.Theanodehasaflow-restrictorchannelof2.8mmdiameteranddownstreamexpansionhalf-angleof8°,withthepurposeofcreatingadispersednitrogen-arccolumnbystronggasdynamicexpansioneffect.Resultsshowthat,whenthermalblockingconditionexistedintheflowrestrictorandthecathodecavitypressurewashigherthanthatintheexitchamberbyatleast9kPa,theactionduetogasdynamicexpansioncouldbemuchstrongerthantheself-magneticcontractioneffectofthearcandthenitrogenarccolumncouldbeeffectivelydispersedtoformasufficientlydiffusedattachmentonthewater-cooledanodesurface.
