摘要
ConsideringtheimportantchangesintheSwissenergysector,especiallyinrenewableenergy(RE)technologies,newrevenuepossibilitiesforsmallandmediumsizedenterprises(SMEs)emerge.However,theadaptionofRE-technologiesforSwissenterprisesreliesontangiblefinancialreturns,basedoncomplexcalculations.Thisarticleanalysesbusinessopportunities(BOs)ofeightSwissSMEsconsideringthenetpresentvalueofRE-investmentsinanuncertaineconomicenvironment.WeidentifytwoprofitableBOsforSwissSMEsandthreewhicharenotprofitable.Further,thearticledemonstratesthattheprofitabilityofsuchinvestmentsremainsmostlypositiveevenundereconomicuncertainties.SurprisinglytheprofitabilitydoesnotchangesignificantlyiftheSMEreceivesasubsidyornot.ThesupportinstrumentoftheSwissGovernmenthasnotaponderousimpactonthedecisiontoinvestinRE-technologiesornot.Therefore,thearticleemphasizestheimportanceofincludingSMEintheSwissattempttodecentralizetheenergymarket.
