Analysis and behaviour of FRP-confined short concrete columns subjected to eccentric loading

摘要 Fibre-reinforcedpolymer(FRP)compositeswerewidelyutilizedincivilengineeringstructuresastheretrofitofreinforcedconcrete(RC)columns.TodesignFRPjacketssafelyandeconomically,thebehaviourofsuchcolumnsshouldbepredictedfirst.ThispaperisconcernedwiththeanalysisandbehaviourofFRP-confinedRCcircularandrectangularshortcol-umnssubjectedtoeccentricloading.Asimpledesign-orientedstress-strainmodelforFRP-confinedconcreteinasectionanalysiswasfirstproposed.Theaccuracywasthenprovedbytwotestdata.Followingthat,aparametricstudyincludingamountofFRPconfinement,FRPstraincapacity,unconfinedconcretestrengthandshapeofcolumnsectionisprovided.Someconclusionswereobtainedattheendofthepaper.TheworkherewillprovideacomprehensiveunderstandingofthebehaviourofFRP-confinedconcretecolumns.Thesimplicityofthemodelalsoenablesasimpleequivalentstressblocktobedevelopedfordirectuseinpracticaldesign.
