摘要 Ahandveinauthenticationsysteminwhichtheidentityofanindividualcanbereadilyconfirmedupongrippingahandleisproposed.Thisrecognitionmethodincorporatesinfraredlight-emittingdiode(LED)ontoadoorhandleandsetsacharge-coupleddevice(CCD)cameraontheothersideofthehand.Itbuildsonfuzzyc-meansclusteringandparallelneuralnetworks(NNs);moreover,itisexpectedtosolvethepatternrecognitionprobleminlarge-scaledatabasesusingNNsduetoitsself-learningandparallelprocessingcapabilitiesandbyeffectivelyincorporatingtrainingpatterns.Theexperimentalresultsvalidatetheefficiencyoftheproposedalgorithm.
