SincetheCleanDevelopmentMechanism(CDM)undertheKyotoProtocolwasinitiated,ChinaandIndiahaveoverwhelminglyledotherdevelopingcountriesregardingCDMprojectsdevelopment.AcomparativestudyoftheCDMinIndiaandChinaisconductedastherearemanysimilaritiesbetweenbothIndiaandChinawithregardtotheCDMimplementationduetothefactthatIndiaisanothermajordevelopingcountrywithalargepopulationandapotentialsourceofGHGemissionsrivalingChinainthenearfuture.ThroughexaminingthedevelopmentofandlegalissuesforCDMprojectsinIndia,itsexperienceandlessonsregardingdevelopingandmanagingCDMprojectsthatChinacancriticallylearnarediscussed.
