InHL-2Atokamaks,thebehaviorofheatfluxdepositedonthepertortargetshasbeenstudiedduringdeuteriumgasfuelling.Theheatfluxisreducedsignificantlyaftersupersonicmolecularbeaminjection(SMBI)fuellingduringOhmicandelectroncyclotronresonanceheating(ECRH)pertordischarges.TheSMBIfuellingcausesanincreaseintheplasmadensityandthischangeresultsintheexperiencedchangeoftheedgeproperties.MostofthisreductioninpertortargetheatfluxoccurstogetherwithahighplasmaradiationregionlocatedatneartheX-point.Thelargestreductioninheatfluxprofilesisobservedattheoutboardpertorseparatrixstrikepoint,whiletheheatfluxfarfromthestrikepointremainsalmostunchanged.Inparticular,withSMBImulti-pulsesgasfuelling,apartiallydetachedpertorregimeisobservedwithahighlyradiatingregionattheX-point.Withtheonsetofthepartiallydetachedpertorregime,asuddendropinbothheatfluxandpowerflowonthepertortargetisobserved.Thereductioninpowerloadonthepertortargetsisroughlyequaltotheincreaseinplasmaradiationloss.
