Themechanicalpropertiesofplasma-sprayedthermalbarriercoating(TBC)playavitalroleingoverningtheirlifetimeandperformance.ThisworkinvestigatedthemicrostructuralandmechanicalpropertiesofTBCwithhightemperaturetreatmentat1400℃byscanningelectronmicroscopyandindentation.WecalculatedelasticmodulusandhardnessthroughtheapplicationofWeibullstatisticsanalysis.Theresultsindicatethatthemicrostructureofceramiccoatingwillchangecontinuouslyathightemperature,andaccordinglytheporositydecreasesduetothegraingrowthsandcrackcloses.Inaddition,theelasticmodulusandhardnessnonlinearlygoupwiththeheattreatmenttimeandgodownwithincreasingporosity.ThisdemonstratesthatthemicrostructuralevolutionandporosityofTBCarecausedbyhightemperaturetreatment,andasaresultitsmechanicalpropertiesareinfluenced.
