AbridgearmprototypeofITERpoloidalfield(PF)convertermoduleshasbeendesignedandfabricated.Non-cophasecounterparallelconnectionischosenasthearmstructureoftheprototype.Amongallfactorsaffectingcurrentsharing,armstructureisthemainone.Duringthedesignofthearmprototype,anovelmethodbasedoninductancematrixesisemployedtoimprovethecurrentsharingofthebridgearm.Thetestresultsontheprototypeshowthatthecurrentsharingperformanceofthearmprototypeismuchbetterthanrelevantdesignrequirement,andthatthematrixmethodisveryeffectivetoanalyzeandsolvethecurrentsharingproblemsofthyristorconverters.
