Inthispaper,weproposeafacerecognitionapproach-StructedSparseRepresentation-basedclassificationwhenthemeasurementofthetestsampleislessthanthenumbertrainingsamplesofeachsubject.Whenthisconditionisnotsatisfied,weexploitNearestSubspaceapproachtoclassifythetestsample.Inordertoadaptallthecases,wecombinethetwoapproachestoanadaptiveclassificationmethod-Adaptiveapproach.TheadaptiveapproachyieldsgreaterrecognitionaccuracythantheSRCapproachandCRC_RLSapproachwithlowsamplerateontheExtendYaleBdataset.Anditismoreefficientthanothertwoapproaches.
