Inthispaper,aneweffectivemethodisproposedtofindclassassociationrules(CAR),togetusefulclassassociationrules(UCAR)byremovingthespuriousclassassociationrules(SCAR),andtogenerateexceptionclassassociationrules(ECAR)foreachUCAR.CARmining,whichintegratesthetechniquesofclassificationandassociation,isofgreatinterestrecently.However,ithastwodrawbacks:oneisthatalargepartofCARsarespuriousandmaybemisleadingtousers;theotheristhatsomeimportantECARsaredifficulttofindusingtraditionaldataminingtechniques.Themethodintroducedinthispaperaimstogetovertheseflaws.Accordingtoourapproach,ausercanretrievecorrectinformationfromUCARsandknowtheinfluencefromdifferentconditionsbycheckingcorrespondingECARs.Experimentalresultsdemonstratetheeffectivenessofourproposedapproach.
