Onehundredandsixtycasesofsequelaeofcerebrovascularaccident(CVA)wererandomlypidedintothreegroups:Thetemporalpointgroup(TG),58cases;thescalpacupuncturegroup(SG),52cases;thebodyacupuncturegroup(BG),50cases.Itwasshownthatafter30treat-mentsthecurativeeffectsweresignificantlydifferent(P<0.01)amongthethreegroups.TheeffectinTGwasbetterthanthoseinSGandBG.TherewasnodifferenceincurativeeffectsbetweenSGandBG.Itisindicatedthatallthethreeneedlingtechniquescanimproveencephalicbloodflowinpa-tients.Itseemsthattheeffectsofthethreeneedlingtechniquesareasfollows:TG>SG>BG.
