TheMOSIXextensionstotheLinuxOperatingSystemallowthecreationofhigh-performanceLinuxFarmsandanexcellentintegrationoftheseveralCPUsoftheFarm,whosecomputationalpowercanbefurtherlyinereasedandmademoreeffectivebynetorkingthemwithintheGRIDenvironment.Followingthisstrategy,westartedtoperformcomputationaltestsusingtwoindependentfarrmswithintheGRIDenvironment.Inparticular,weperformedapreliminaryevaluationofthedistributedcomputingefficiencywithaMOSIXLinuxfarminthesimulationofgravitationalwavesdataanalysisfromcoalescingbinaries.Tothistask,twodifferenttechniqueswerecompared.theclassicalmatchedfilterstechniqueandoneofitspossibleevolutions,basedonaglobaloptimisationtechnique.
