Thispaperpresentsacopulatechniquetodeveloptime-variantseismicfragilitycurvesforcorrodedbridgesatthesystemlevelandconsiderstherealistictime-varyingdependenceamongcomponentseismicdemands.Basedonmaterialdeteriorationmechanismsandincrementaldynamicanalysis,thetime-evolvingseismicdemandsofcomponentswereobtainedintheformofmarginalprobabilitydistributions.Thetime-varyingdependencesamongbridgecomponentswerethencapturedwiththebestfittingcopulafunction,whichwasselectedfromthecommonlyusedcopulaclassesbytheempiricaldistributionbasedanalysismethod.Thesystemtime-variantfragilitycurvesatdifferentdamagestatesweredevelopedandtheeffectsoftime-varyingdependencesamongcomponentsonthebridgesystemfragilitywereinvestigated.Theresultsindicatethetime-varyingdependenceamongcomponentssignificantlyaffectsthetime-variantfragilityofthebridgesystem.Thecopulatechniquecapturesthenonlineardependenceamongcomponentseismicdemandsaccuratelyandeasilybyseparatingthemarginaldistributionsandthedependenceamongthem.
