ThedryingcharacteristicwasstudiedforplantationwoodofChinesefirandpoplar,whicharetypicalplantationwoodofsouthernandnorthernpartofChina,respectively.ThroughlO0-degree-methodthedryingcharacteristicandbasicdryingconditionweregotten,thendryingschedulewasdevelopedforpracticaldrying,theresultsshowedthatthedryingscheduleissuitableforChinesefirandpoplarplantationlumber,butshrinkageislarge.Therecommendationwasmadethatenoughdeadweightisneededtodecreaseshrinkageindryingprocess.Thedryingqualityofthetwospeciesoflumberisgoodinconventionaldryingmethod.
