结合翻译策略探讨水利英语的英汉翻译特点

摘要：水资源是人们不可或缺的一种重要资源，随着科技发展，国际化进步，相应水利英语的翻译重要性也随之加强。本文作者结合归化和异化策略探讨水利英汉翻译的特点。希望给相关学习者参考。

关键词：翻译策略；水利英语；翻译特点

如何选择翻译策略取决于文本类型、文化不同、翻译要求。从翻译策略角度结合直译、意译翻译方法来完成此翻译。下面就结合具体事例分析水利英语的翻译特点。

Analysis:

ThenativeEnglishexpressionwayswereusedtoconveythesituationofHawke’sBay’scompetitiveagriculturaladvantages.ThetranslatoradoptsdomesticationstrategiesandliteraltranslationwithannotationtoaddtheexpressionintermsofChineseculturalhabits.Theauthordoesnotemploytherigidwords.Suchasthetranslationofthesentence“Thequalityandquantityofourlandandwaterresourceisthereforecritical.”wastranslatedas“土壤肥沃，面积广阔，水质优良，条件得天独厚。”ThetranslatorisnotlimitedtheEnglishexpressionandstructure,butsherestructurestheChinesewithfour-characterstructuresonthebaseofunderstanding.TheChineseversionshouldbeconcise,fluent,smoothafterthefinishingtheEnglish-Chinesetranslation.Luckily,thefour-characterstructureinChineseisthebestchoicetosatisfythisrequirement.Four-characterstructureisacommonexpressionway,whichisrichinitsmeaning,andeasytounderstandforChinesereaders.Thereforeitmakessensetoadoptthedomesticationstrategiesinthetranslationofthisparagraph.
