DuringthecrystalgrownbyVBM,thesolid/liquidinterfaceconfigurationsgreatlyinfluencethequalityofas-growncrystals.Inthispaper,finiteelementmethod(FEM)wasusedtosimulatethegrowthprocessofCdZnTecrystal.Theeffectsofdifferentcruciblemovingratesandtemperaturegradientofadiabaticzoneoncrystalgrowthrateandsolid-liquidinterfaceonfigurationwerestudiedaswell.Simulationresultsshowthatwhencruciblemovesattherateofabout1mm/h,whichisnearlyequaltocrystalgrowthrate,nearlyflatsolid/liquidinterfaceandlittlevariationofaxialtemperaturegradientnearitcanbeattained,whicharewellconsistentwiththeresultsofexperiments.CdZnTecrystalwithlowdislocationdensitycanbebtainedbyemployingappropriatecruciblemovingrateduringthecrystalgrowthprocess.
