Thispaperpresentsaconstitutiveframeworkforfiniteelementanalysisofthetruckbeamendcuttingprocess.Forthispurpose,afinitestrainanisotropicelasto-plasticmodel,whichtakesnonlinearkinematicandisotropichardeningintoaccount,ispresented.Threefactorsareinvestigatedtodeterminetheeffectoncuttingquality:radiusofcuttingtools,strengthofmaterialsandrelativeclearanceincutting.Therecommendationsmadehereinarebasedonthesimulationresults.
