Thisarticlediscussestheinteractionofphthalatesandoceanalgaebasedonthestandardappraisalmethodofchemicalmedicineforalgaetoxicity.Throughtheexperimentsonthetoxiceffectsofdimethyl(o-)phthalate(DMP),diethyl(o-)phthalate(DEP),dibutyl(o-)phthalate(DBP)onoceanalgae,the50%lethalconcentrationofthethreesubstancesin48hand96hforplaeodectylumtricornutum,platymonassp,isochrysisgalbana,andskeletonemacostatumisobtained.TolerancelimitsoftheaboveoceanalgaeofDMP,DEP,andDBParediscussed.
