Centrifugeexperimentsarecarriedouttoinvestigatetheresponsesofsuctionbucketfoundationsunderhorizontaldynamicloading.Theeffectsofloadingamplitude,thesizeofthebucketandthestructuralweightonthedynamicresponsesareinvestigated.Itisshownthat,whentheloadingamplitudeisoveracriticalvalue,thesandattheupperpartaroundthebucketsoftensorevenliquefies.Theliquefactionindex(excessporepressurepidedbyinitialeffectivestress.Inthispaper,thedevelopmentaldegreeofexcessporepressureisdescribedbyliquefactionindex)decreasesfromtheupperparttothelowerpartofthesandfoundationintheverticaldirectionanddecreasesfromneartofarawayfromthebucket′ssidewallinthehorizontaldirection.Largesettlementsofthebucketandthesandaroundthebucketareinducedbythehorizontaldynamicloading.Thedynamicresponsesofthebucketofasmallerheight(whenthediameteristhesame)areheavier.Acycliccracksomedistancenearthebucketoccursinthesand.
