Inthispaperthedevelopmentofthetechnologyofthelaserscanningissummarized.Theprinciplesoflaserrangescanningareintroduced.Basedonthelaserscanningtechnologyandmethods,whichareinvestigatedbytheauthorstosurveydepositvolume,asurveyingsystemisdevelopedandapracticalapplicationisperformed.Itisshownthatthelaser-scanningtechnologyhasobviousadvantagessuchasmeasurementprecision,automationandvisualizationofobserveddataincomparisonwiththetraditionalmethods.Asaresult,laborintensityisrelievedobviouslyandworkefficiencyispromoted.
