They Are Learning English Not From Teachers But With teachers

In English teaching activities, we should not only pay attention to students' knowledge and culture level, but also their practical ability. It is very important to regard students as the principle part of the whole learning process, stimulate students' learning potential and mobilize their enthusiasm and initiative. Teachers are leaders rather than substitutes for students in the learning process. So, how should play the main role of the students?


一、培养学生的学习兴趣

First of all, we need to cultivate students' interest in learning. Students' interest in learning lays a great foundation for success . In English learning, teachers should try to mobilize students' interest , students should also take the initiative to establish their interest in English learning. Only by combining the two things can they bring out the best in each other. For example, when learning ball games, the teacher can take all kinds of balls to the classroom to demonstrate "What kind of ball is this? "Or" Which is the tennis ball? "Then let the students consider and answer the questions.比如备课阶段,讲课阶段以及课后阶段。在备课时适当利用当代多媒体设备吸引学生注意力,并多媒体技术与学习动力相结合,达到提高学生学习兴趣的目的;在讲课阶段,老师应该具有充分的讲课活力和热情,以此感染学生,起到耳濡目染的作用,讲课内容也应轻松有趣,让学生更易理解学习知识内容;在课后阶段,老师也应与学生之间有友好和睦的交流方式,让学生从心底接受亲近老师,塑造和谐的师生关系也有助于提高学生学习英语的兴趣。此外,老师也可安排一些趣味性的课后作业供学生完成,从学习实践的过程中开发对英语学习的兴趣。比如“role play”,“group task”,“speaking competition”等等。


二、塑造和谐友好的师生关系

Secondly, a harmonious and friendly relationship between teachers and students is also very important. In my observation all the time, I find that the degree of students' liking or disliking the course is basically proportional to the quality of the relationship between teachers and students. Rousseau once said: "Only by becoming the intimate friend of students, can you become a real teacher." I think it's a good saying that teachers want to really understand and help students, first as friends, then as teachers. The two roles complement each other, rather than always being strict as a "teacher".塑造良好的师生关系需要双方共同努力,比如课堂上对于回答问题优秀正确或者积极主动举手回答问题的同学老师可采用“Good!”“Excellent!”“Nice!”“Great!”等夸奖词汇进行赞许。让学生得到肯定,从而提高对老师的印象。在学生犯错时,切勿一味地责怪训斥,问清楚原因,积极与学生沟通,重要的是探寻心里真正的想法,从而给出适当的教育引导。课后教师应多多关心学生的心理健康,了解学生的性格特征,对症下药采取合适的教育方式。对于性格柔软的学生切勿过于采取过多“硬”手段,对于性格强势的同学也不要一味“硬碰硬”,关注个体性差异,不能统一式教育。


三、教师应该创新教学方法

Thirdly, I think teachers should innovate their teaching methods. Each student is a different inpidual with different personality and learning characteristics. Teachers should provide different teaching methods according to the inpidual needs of each student. One - piece education is absolutely inappropriate. On the contrary, it is more effective to teach students according to their aptitude. In the class activities, the teacher can take two dialogues training, group competition to answer questions, role play and other ways to carry out teaching activities. This can not only stimulate the enthusiasm of students, but also improve the efficiency of students' learning.In Chinese, it can be summarized in the following four aspects

1、 努力提高师德修养,增强教师的人格魅力。传道者必须闻道在先,塑造他人灵魂的人,自身必须有高尚的灵魂;教师不仅要有较高的文化修养,而且还要有较高的道德修养;教师的语言要规范、文明,举止大方端庄,严肃而不古板;教师要尊重学生的自尊心,不要轻易伤害;要利用一切机会鼓励学生参与竞争,增强他们的自信心;对学生既严格要求又热情帮助,让学生通过自我选择、自我学习、自我管理达到自我补充、自我完善、自我提高的目的;


2、 认真学习教育理论,积极适应新的教育观念。目前,为了进一步提高教育质量,提升学生综合素质,国家正努力实施全面的新课程改革。面对新课改,教师个人综合素质的完善,教师群体素质的提高也才是学校取胜的关键,唯有在素质上胜人一筹,才能在新课改速度上快人一拍,才能在新课改措施上高人一着,才能在新课改成果上超人一等;


四、教师应该向学生传授正确的学习方法

Finally, teachers should impart correct learning methods to students. English learning pays more attention to flexibility in learning. Teachers should make students understand the importance and necessity of English learning, help them develop good study habits, and teach them how to study independently. In different learning process, master four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing by stages. Let the student master the correct study method and the skill to enhance the study efficiency. What's more,teachers should train students to preview and review independently to consolidate knowledge points. In learning, teachers should play a leading role in driving students to learn, exploring students' learning rules and forming a set of excellent teaching programs and strategies.美国总统林肯说:一个人必须依据语言、逻辑和"简单的常识"来决定问题和建立自己的行动计划。 在学习英语的过程中,按照常理去做,就可能成功。当然,成功与否还取决于"努力"。提高学生英语学习方法可从以下几个方面:


1.上课时间一定要充分把握,思维跟着老师走。有效利用英文教材,在句子短文等情景中掌握单词 ,在句子以及课本的短文对话中识记单词,并且需要熟练背诵课文句型。


2.坚持听录音并大声朗读课文,可改善自己的语音,语调。


3.在课余时间复习上课所学


4.对于每课的语法重点,要适时总结,细致分析。


5..可选购一本符合自己能力的辅导书,每天适当练习。


6.在日常生活中用英语对话,多使用英语,实践是检验真理的唯一标准。

In a word, English teaching is a cooperative learning that teachers and students participate in together. Students are the main body of learning. Teachers must study the rules and methods of students' learning, explore advanced and scientific teaching methods and reflect on their own teaching ideas. To highlight students' dominant position in class, teachers should not only adopt various flexible and effective ways to strengthen students' subjectivity and cultivate students' subjective consciousness in English learning, but also make their own teaching truly serve students.学生是活生生的人,是具有独立思想和认识潜能的实践者。而教学过程本身就是一个以学生的认识为归宿的特殊认识过程,而学生的这一认识过程,教师是无法代劳的。因此,教师要从培养人的高度来更新观念,在传授知识的同时注重培养学生自主创新的学习能力,使学生的主题性得到充分发挥,努力引导学生走向自主创新的学习之路。
