On25March1994,theStateCouncilofChinaapprovedChina'sAgenda21--WhitePaperonChina'sPopulation,EnvironmentandDevelopmentinthe21stCentury.Onthatsameday,theAdministrativeCentreforChina'sAgenda21(ACCA21)wasestablishedtomanagethedailyaffairsandfacilitatetheimplementationofChina'sAgenda21.Inthepast10years,ACCA21hasdonemanyfruitfulworkonassistingtheformulationandimplementationoflocalAgenda21,promotingsustainabledevelopmentofscienceandtechnology,enhancinglocalcapacityofsustainability,promotinginternationalexchangeandcooperationandraisingpublicawarenessofsustainabledevelopmentandunderstandingofChina'sAgenda21.
