ObjectivesThepurposeofthisstudywastodetermineiftheultrasonicintegratedbackscatterandechointensitycouldbeusedinclinicaldiagnosisofacutemyocardialinfarction.MethodsandResultsWithin2weeksafteracutemyocardialinfarction,35patientsunderwentultrasonictissuecharacterizationfromthepapillaryshort-axisview.Thecyclicvariationofintegratedbackscatterandechointensityofthreedifferentmyocardialregionsperfusedbyleftanteriordescendingcoronaryartery,leftcircumflexcoronaryandrightcoronaryweremeasured.Thevalueofcyclicvariationofintegratedbackscatterandintegratedbackscatterandechointensity≤halfofthehighestvalueofthreedifferentmyocardialregionsonasameviewweredefineasthecriteriafordiagnosingacutemyocardialinfarction,andtheresultswerecomparedwithcoronaryangiography.ThesensitivityofdiagnosingacutemyocardialinfarctionbybothUltrasonictissuecharacterizationwithintegratedbackscatterandechointens
