Analysis of equation of state and thermodynamic functions for trans-decahydronaphthalene up to 200 MPa and 446 K

ThispaperdevelopsamodifiedTaitequationofstate(EOS)fortrans-decahydronaphthalenewithfourparametersA,B,V0andP0beingtreatedaslinearfunctionsoftemperature.Thecoefficientscontainedinthesefunctionsaredeterminedthroughfittingtheexperimentalcompressiondataintheliteraturebetween293Kand446Kandatpressuresfrom10to200MPa.Expressionsforthethermalexpansivity,isothermalcompressibilityandthermodynamicquantitiesarededucedandthenumericalresultsareanalyticallyderived.ThenumericalresultsshowthattheprecisionofthemodifiedTaitEOSdevelopedinthispaperissuperiortotheEOSintheliterature.
