Climatechangeisaninevitabletrend,whichchallengessecurityofwaterresourcesinChina,especiallyincities.Assessingvulnerabilityofwaterresourcetoclimatechangeincitieshasimportantroleforpolicymakers.Thepaperconstructsavulnerabilityfunction,includingexposure,sensitivityandadaptivecapacity,accordingtothevulnerabilityconceptproposedbyIPCC,establishesanassessmentindicatorssystemofwaterresourcestoclimatechangeincities,andanalyzesvulnerabilityfeaturesofChinesecitesbasedon655cities'datain2006.Thevulnerabilityassessmentresultsshowthattherearedistinctivedifferencesamongallthecities,betweeneast,centralandwestcities,betweenordinary,bigandmegacities,whilethereisnostatisticalsignificantdifferencebetweennorthandsouthcities.Basedontheresearch,thepapersuggeststhatstrategicemphasisshouldfocusonthecentralcitiesandordinarycities
