Inthispaper,wecombinethedirect-forcingfictitiousdomain(DF/FD)methodandthesharpinterfacemethodtoresolvetheproblemofparticledielectrophoresisintwodimensions.TheflowfieldandthemotionofparticlesaresolvedwiththeDF/FDmethod,theelectricfieldissolvedwiththesharpinterfacemethod,andtheelectrostaticforceontheparticlesiscomputedusingtheMaxwellstresstensormethod.Theproposedmethodisvalidatedviathreeproblems:effectiveconductivityofparticlecompositebetweentwoplanarplates,celltrappinginachannel,andmotionofparticlesduetobothconventionalandtravelingwavedielectrophoreticforces.
