简介：Fourvegetationtypes,namelyconiferousandbroadleavedmixedforest,secondarydeciduousbroadleavedforest,openshrubsandmeadow,withdwarfbamboo(Indocalamuswilsoni)arecomparedontheirfloristiccomposition,lifeform,communitystructure,andsurvivorshipofbamboos.Disturbanceofconifer-loggingtwodecadesagopromotedthespeciesdi-versity,butnegativelyinfluencedthesurvivorshipofdwarfbamboowhichisdominateontheforestfloor.Openshrubsbearmorespeciesdiversityandmoregeophytesinitslife-formspectrumthanitsbackgroundvegetationsubalpinemeadow,how-ever,dwarfbambooisgrowingmuchbetterintheopenshrubsthaninthemeadow.Itseemsdwarfbambooprobablyfavor-itestooccurinthevegetationatgentleslopeswithamediatecanopycover.Itsmassfloweringinthesecondarydeciduousforestsuggeststhatasimultaneousfloweringandfollowingdiebackmaybeirruptintherecentlycomingyearsoverthesubal-pineShennongjiainChina,whichwillbenotonlyalterthefloristiccompositionandcommunitystructureoftheoldbamboostands,butalsoinfluencethesurvivorshipofthisrarespecies.
