  • 简介:Theproblemofrobustdesignistreatedasamulti-objectiveoptimizationissueinwhichtheperformancemeanandvariationareoptimizedandminimizedrespectively,whilemaintainingthefeasibilityofdesignconstraintsunderuncertainty.Toeffectivelyaddressthisissueinrobustdesign,thispaperpresentsanovelrobustoptimizationapproachwhichintegratesmulti-objectiveoptimizationconceptswithTaguchi'scrossedarraystechniques.Inthisapproach,Pareto-optimalrobustdesignsolutionsetsareobtainedwiththeaidofdesignofexperimentset-ups,whichutilizetheresultsofAnalysisofVariancetoquantifyrelativedominanceandsignificanceofdesignvariables.Abeamdesignproblemisusedtoillustratetheeffectivenessoftheproposedapproach.

  • 简介:Amethodologyisimplementedtofindtheoptimumreducedweightconfigurationdesignofanoperatingstructureofacivilaircraftverticaltailfin.FE(finiteelement)basedtopologyoptimizationisexecutedtofindtheoptimummaterialdistributionofinitialdesignspaceofribbymaximizingthestiffness.Loadspertinenttotheoperatingandgroundconditionsareestimatedandapplied,consideringtheorientationofstructuralassemblymembersandbuilt-insupportsofferedinthemainstructure.Manufacturingconstraintsareincorporatedintotheoptimizationlooptogeneratepragmaticandmanufacturabledesignconfiguration.ThetopologicallyoptimizedconfigurationisthenconvertedtoCADviabledesignthroughdatareductionandsmoothingbyconvertingtoISO-surfaces.Amethodologyisalsodevisedtomodifythetopologicaloptimizedvoidsandmateriallayoutpreciselywithsplinesandfilletstoconstructmanufacturablefeaturesandavoidstressconcentrations.Theresultingnoveldesignproposalisthenanalyzedandvalidatedagainststipulatedloads,constraintsandotherdesignneeds.Resultsvalidatethenewdesignproposalasmorereliable,havingreducedweightandenhancedstructuralperformance.

  • 简介:Pathplanningin3Dgeometryspaceisusedtofindanoptimalpathintherestrictedenvironment,accordingtoacertainevaluationcriteria.Tosolvetheproblemoflongsearchingtimeandslowsolvingspeedin3Dpathplanning,amodifiedantcolonyoptimizationisproposedinthispaper.Firstly,thegridmethodforenvironmentmodelingisadopted.Heuristicinformationisconnectedwiththeplanningspace.Asemi-iterativeglobalpheromoneupdatemechanismisproposed.Secondly,theoptimalantsmutatethepathstoimprovethediversityofthealgorithmafteradefinediterativenumber.Thirdly,co-evolutionaryalgorithmisused.Finally,thesimulationresultshowstheeffectivenessoftheproposedalgorithminsolvingtheproblemof3Dpipepathplanning.

  • 简介:ThedesignofnewSatelliteLaunchVehicle(SLV)isofinterest,especiallywhenacombinationofSolidandLiquidPropulsionisincluded.ProposedisaconceptualdesignandoptimizationtechniqueformultistageLowEarthOrbit(LEO)boundSLVcomprisingofsolidandliquidstageswiththeuseofGeneticAlgorithm(GA)asglobaloptimizer.ConvergenceofGAisimprovedbyintroducinginitialpopulationbasedontheDesignofExperiments(DOE)Technique.LatinHypercubeSampling(LHS)-DOEisusedforitsgoodspacefillingproperties.LHSisastratifiedrandomprocedurethatprovidesanefficientwayofsamplingvariablesfromtheirmultivariatedistributions.InSLVdesignminimumGrossLiftoffWeight(GLOW)conceptistraditionallybeingsought.SincethedevelopmentcoststendtovaryasafunctionofGLOW,thisminimumGLOWisconsideredasaminimumdevelopmentcostconcept.Thedesignapproachismeaningfultoinitialdesignsizingpurposeforitscomputationalefficiencygivesaquickinsightintothevehicleperformancepriortodetaileddesign.

  • 简介:Disassemblysequenceplanningisanimportantstepofmechanicalmaintenance.Thisarticlepresentsanintegratedstudyaboutthegenerationandoptimizingalgorithmofthedisassemblysequence.Mechanicalproductsaredividedintotwocategoriesofcomponentsandconnectors.Thearticleusescomponent-jointgraphtorepresentassemblyconstraints,includingtheincidenceconstraintsarerepresentedbyincidencematrixandtheinterferenceconstraintsarerepresentedbyinterferenceconstraints.Theinspiringfactorandpheromonematrixarecalculatedaccordingtoassemblyconstraints.Thentheantgeneratesitsowndisassemblysequencesonebyoneandupdatestheinspiringfactorandpheromonematrix.Afteralliterations,thebestdisassemblysequenceplanningofcomponentsandconnectorsaregiven.Finally,anapplicationinstanceofthedisassemblysequenceofthejackispresentedtoillustratethevalidityofthismethod.
