简介：Pulsecontrastisacrucialparameterofhighpeak-powerlaserssincetheprepulsenoisemaydisturblaser–plasmainteractions.Contrastmeasurementisthusaprerequisitetotacklethecontrastchallengeinhighpeak-powerlasers.Thispaperpresentstheprogressreviewofsingle-shotcross-correlator(SSCC)forreal-timecontrastcharacterization.WebeginwiththekeytechnologiesthatenableanSSCCtosimultaneouslypossesshighdynamicrange(1010),largetemporalwindow(50–70ps)andhighfidelity.WealsosummarizetheinstrumentationofSSCCprototypesandtheirapplicationsonfivesetsofpetawattlaserfacilitiesinChina.Finally,wediscusshowtoextendcontrastmeasurementsfromtimedomaintospatiotemporaldomain.Real-timeandhigh-dynamic-rangecontrastmeasurements,providedbySSCC,cannotonlycharacterizevariouscomplexnoisesinhighpeak-powerlasersbutalsoguidethesystemoptimization.
