简介：Thispaperassessedcarryingcapacity,qualityofteachingstaff,andcompliancelevelofselectedprivateuniversitiesinSouthwesternNigeriatoextantrulesoftheNationalUniversitiesCommission(NUC).Thedescriptivesurveyresearchdesignwasadoptedforthestudy.Twothousandthreehundredandtwenty-fourrespondentsfromtheselecteduniversitiesconstitutedthesampleforthestudy.Sixprincipalofficers,200teachingstaff,and1,500studentswereselectedfromthefoursampledprivateuniversitiesbyusingproportionatestratifiedsamplingtechnique.Twoself-designedinstrumentswereusedfordatacollection,whilefrequencycountsandpercentageswereusedfordataanalysis.Thestudyfoundremarkableadherencetocarryingcapacitylevels,satisfactoryqualityofteachingstaff,andsubstantialcomplianceleveltothenationaladmissionrequirements.Itrecommendedthatthefederalgovernmentshouldestablishscholarshipandloansboardforstudents’easeofaccesstotheprivateuniversities,NUCshouldintensifyandsustainstrictmonitoringofacademicprogrammes,andtheprivateuniversitiesshouldcarryoutenlightenmentprogrammestoensurequalityamongotherrecommendations.

简介：Objectives:Thisstudyexaminedthequalityoflife(QoL)oftheparentsandsiblingsofhearing-impairedchildrenwithcochlearimplants(CIs).Design:Thisisacross-sectional,questionnaire-basedstudy.Thequestionnaireconsistsofthreesub-domains-interaction,emotionalwell-beingandsupportforthehearing-impairedchildandtheoverallQoL-andtwoopen-endedquestionsforparticipantstoprovidecommentsandsuggestionstoenhancetheirfamily'sQoL.Atotalof63questionnairesweree-mailedormailedtofamilieswhomettheinclusioncriteria.Setting:ThestudywasconductedundertheCenterforRehabilitation&SpecialNeeds,FacultyofHealthSciences,UniversitiKebangsaanMalaysia,KualaLumpur.Participants:Atotalof79parentsand23siblingsfrom44familiesofchildrenwithCIparticipatedinthisstudy.Mainoutcomemeasures:Themeanscoreforeachofthesub-domainandtheoverallQoLforbothsubjectgroupswerecomputed.Theanswersfortheopen-endedquestionswerelistedandorganizedintothemes.Results:ThereweresignificantcorrelationsbetweentheoverallQoLscoreandeachofthetestdomainsfortheparents'group(p<0.01).Forthesiblings'group,onlytheinteractionandsupportdomainsweresignificant.Interactionwasthemainsub-domainaffectingtheparents'QoLbutforsiblings,thiscouldnotbedetermined.Atotalof60%ofthepooledcommentswereclassifiedas‘concerns’.Asforthesuggestions,38.7%requestedsomeformofsupport,mainlyfinancial(41.7%).Conclusions:FamilieswithhearingimpairedchildrenwithCIhavenumerousconcernsthatneedtobeaddressed,eventhough,onaverage,theyweresatisfiedwiththeiroverallQoL.

简介：Znbasedmetalshaveexhibitedpromisingprospectsasastructuralmaterialforbiodegradableapplications.PureZnporousscaffoldswereproducedbylaserpowderbedfusion(LPBF)basedondatafilesofdesigningandCTseanning.MassiveZnevaporationduringlasermeltinglargelyinfluencedtheformationqualityduringLPBFofZnmetal.Themetalvaporinprocessingchamberwasblownoffandsuctionedoutefficientlybyanoptimizedgascirculationsystem.Numericalanalysiswasusedtodesignandtestifytheperformanceofgasflow.Thesurfaceofscaffoldswascoveredwithnumerousparticlesindifferentsizes.Processingporesoccurredneartheoutlinecontourofstruts.Theaveragegrainsizeinwidthwas8.5μm,andthehardnesswas43.8HV.Chemicalpluselectrochemicalpolishingobtainedunifonnandsmoothsurfacewithoutprocessingpores,butthediameterofstrutsreducedto250μmfromthedesignvalue300μm.Thepoorsurfacequalityandprocessingporeswereresultedbythesplashingparticlesincludedspattersandpowdersduetotherecoilforceofevaporation,andthehorizontalmovementofliquidmetalduetooverheatingandwetting.TheinsufficientmeltingattheoutlinecontourcombinedwithgoodwettingofZnliquidmetalfurtherincreasedthesurfaceroughnessandprocessingpores.

简介：Mobilenewsappshaveemergedasasignificantmeansforlearningaboutlatestnewsandtrends.However,inlightofnumerousnewsappsandinformationoverload,motivatinguserstoadoptoneappisamajorconcernforboththeindustryandacademia.Therefore,consideringtheattributesofmobilenewsandthedebateonswitchingcostsintheInternetcontext,basedontheexpectation-confirmationmodel(ECM),thisstudysuggeststhatswitchingcostsstillexistandhaveasignificantmoderatingeffectonusersatisfactionandcontinuoususageofmobilenewsapps.Furthermore,thedifferentinfluencesofinformationquality,systemqualityandservicequalityoncontinuanceintention,usersatisfactionandswitchingcostsarediscussed,showingthatqualityofinformationhasasignificantimpactonusers’continuoususageofmobilenewsappsthroughincreasingperceivedusefulness,whereaspersonalizedservicequalityhavestrongereffectsthroughincreasingusersatisfactionandswitchingcosts.

简介：AIM:ToinvestigatetheChineseversionoftheLowVisionQualityofLifeQuestionnaire(CLVQOL)asaninstrumentforobtainingclinicallyimportantchangesaftercataractsurgery.METHODS:PatientsunderwentcataractsurgeryinShanghaiGeneralHospital,ShanghaiJiaoTongUniversity,whofittheinclusioncriteriawererecruited.TwoCLVQOLswereadministered,includingapreoperativeCLVQOLandaCLVQOLattheendofthe3mofollow-upperiod,andwerecompletedusingface-to-faceinterviewsorphoneinterviewsconductedbytrainedinvestigators.Theminimalclinicallyimportantdifference(MCID)wascalculatedusingananchor-basedmethodandadistributionmethod.Inaddition,theresponsivenessofthequestionnairewasmeasured.RESULTS:Atotalof155residentswereenrolled.Theaveragevisualacuity(VA)preoperativelywas0.08(SD=0.05),anditincreasedto0.47(SD=0.28)attheendoffollowup.StatisticallysignificantpositivechangesintheCLVQOLscoresindicatedsignificantimprovementofvisionrelatedqualityoflifeaftercataractsurgery.Withthelargervaluebetweenthetworesultsasthefinalvalue,theMCIDvaluesoftheCLVQOL(scoresofthefourscalesaswellasthetotalscore)were8.94,2.61,4.34,3.10and17.63,respectively.TheCLVQOLhasbothgoodinternalandexternalresponsiveness.CONCLUSION:CLVQOLscoresareappropriateinstrumentsforobtainingclinicallyimportantchangesaftercataractsurgery.Thisstudyisaneffectiveexplorationforestablishingcataractsurgeryefficacystandards,whichhelpsclinicalandscientificresearchworkersinophthalmologytogainamorein-depthunderstandingwhenusingCLVQOL.
