简介:Fuelcellsandelectrolysisarepromisingcandidatesforfutureenergyproductionfromrenewableenergysources.Usually,polymerelectrolytefuelcellsystemsrunonhydrogenandair,whilethemostofelectrolysissystemsventoutoxygenasunusedby-product.Replacingairwithpureoxygen,fuelcellelectrochemicalperformance,durabilityandsystemefficiencycanbesignificantlyincreasedwithafurtheroverallsystemsimplificationandincreasedreliability.Thiswork,whichrepresentstheinitialstepforpureH2/O2polymerelectrolytefuelcelloperationinclosed-loopsystems,focusesonperformancevalidationofasinglecelloperatingwithpureH2/O2underdifferentrelativehumidity(RH)levels,reactantsstoichiometryconditionsandtemperature.Asaresultofthisstudy,themostconvenientandappropriateoperativeconditionsforapolymerelectrolytefuelcellstackintegratedinaclosedloopsystemwereselected.
