  • 简介:Thispaperfocusesontheproblemofautomaticimageclassification(AIC)byproposingaframeworkbasedonlatentsemanticanalysis(LSA)andimageregionpairs.Thenovelframeworkemploysrelativespatialarrangementsforregionpairsastheprimaryfeaturetocapturesemantics.Thesignificanceofthispaperistwofold.Firstly,tothebestourknowledge,thisisthefirststudyoftheinfluenceofregionpairsaswellastheirrelativespatialinformationinlatentsemanticanalysisasappliedtoautomaticimageclassification.Secondly,ourproposedmethodforusingtherelativespatialinformationofregionpairsshowgreatpromiseinimprovingimagesemanticclassificationcomparedwiththeclassicallatentsemanticanalysismethodand2Dstringrepresentationalgorithm.

  • 简介:Inthisarticle,the2-Dunsteadyviscousflowaroundtwocircularcylindersinatandemarrangementisnumericallysimulatedinordertostudythecharacteristicsoftheflowinbothlaminarandturbulentregimes.ThemethodappliedalternativelyisbasedonthefinitevolumemethodonaCartesian-staggeredgrid.Thegreatsourcetermtechniqueisemployedtoidentifythecylindersplacedintheflowfield.Toapplytheboundaryconditions,theghost-celltechniqueisused.Theimplementedcomputationalmethodisfirstlyvalidatedthroughsimulationoflaminarandturbulentflowsaroundafixedcircularcylinder.Finally,theflowaroundtwocircularcylindersinatandemarrangementissimulatedandanalyzed.Theflowvisualizationparameters,theStrouhalnumbers,anddragandliftcoefficientsarecomprehensivelypresentedandcomparedfordifferentcasesinordertorevealtheeffectoftheReynoldsnumberandgapspacingonthebehavioroftheflow.Theobtainedresultshaveshowntwocompletelydistinctflowcharacteristicsinlaminarandturbulentregimes.

  • 简介:Marineaccidentshavecausedimmensecasualtiesonvariouspartiesinshippingandshipbuildingindustries,includingfinancialandstructurallosses.Thissituationmakesshipaccidentbecomesacriticalsubjectinnavalarchitectureandmarinestructures,asitneedscontinuousassessmentandinvestigationtobroadeninsightanddataofcollisionandgroundingphenomena.Thepaperaimstoinvestigatestructuralconditionsofashiparrangedbydoublehullsystemunderaccidentalscenario,namelyshipgrounding.Fundamentalconceptofstructure-rockinteractioninpoweredhardgroundingisadoptedtodesignimpactconfigurationforcalculationusingfiniteelement(FE)simulation.Involvedentitiesaredefinedasthestructurerepresentedbytankervessel,andoceanicrockisdeployedastheindenterinanalysis.Calculationresultsindicatethatthecrashworthinesscapabilityofstructuralpartstrengthenedbylongitudinalgirderishigherthanotherselectedlocationsonthestructuresagainstrockpenetration.Localizedfloodingofstorageoilmayoccurduringrakingdamageisformedonstructuralpartbetweentwogirders.

  • 简介:Theoptimalarrangementofviscoelasticdampers(VEDs)usedtolinktwoadjacentshear-typestructuresunderseismicexcitationwasinvestigated.Atwo-stepoptimaldesignmethodisproposed.First,optimalparameterexpressionsoftheKelvinmodelareusedtocalculatetheoptimalstiffnessanddampingcoefficientoftheVEDs.Then,usingthetwo-stepoptimaldesignmethod,takingthequadraticperformanceindexastheoptimizationobjective,theoptimalarrangementofthedampersisdetermined.GeneralrulesabouttheoptimalarrangementoftheVEDswereobtained.Theresultsshowthattheplacementofonlyonedamperbetweentwoadjacentshear-typestructuresshouldbeavoided;ifmorethanonedamperisused,theyshouldbedistributedonthetopandlowerfloorsofthestructures.Optimizationofthenumberofdampershadlittleeffectonresponsereduction.Themostimportantfactorwastheoptimizationoftheplacementofthedampers.Throughcomparativestudy,forbuildingsofequalandunequalheights,theoptimalparametersofdampersfromparametricstudieswereshowntomatchthetheoreticalresultsfordifferentnumbersandplacementsofdampers.Thelevelofresponsereductionwasshowntobesensitivetothedampingcoefficientofthedampers.

  • 简介:Conventionalcameracalibrationthatemployscalibrationtargetsisacommonlyusedmethodtoacquireacamera'sintrinsicand/orextrinsicparameters.Thecalibrationtargetsareusuallydesignedasperiodicarraysofsimplehigh-contrastpatternsthatprovidehighlyaccurateworldcoordinatesystempointsandthecorrespondingimagepixelcoordinatesystempoints.Theexistingpixelcoordinateextractionalgorithmscanreachasub-pixellevel;however,theytreateachsinglepatterninoneimageasanindependentindividual,whichmakesitdifficulttofurtherimproveextractionaccuracy.Inthispaper,anovelmethodisproposedbyutilizingtheperiodicarrangementcharacteristicsofthecalibrationtargetpatternasaglobalconstrainttoimprovethecalibrationaccuracy.Basedonacamera'spinholemodel,theintersectionpointoftwofittedcurvesisusedasanoptimizedpixelpointtoreplacetheinitialone.Followingthepixelcoordinateoptimizationprocedures,experimentswereperformedusingrealdatafroma3Dlaserlinescannerandadynamicprecisioncalibrationtarget.Ourresultsshowthattherelativeerrorsofcamerahomographymatrixelementsobtainedbytheproposedoptimizationmethodwerereducedcomparedwiththecommonlyusedmethod.Theaveragecoordinatemeasurementaccuracycanbeimprovedbynearly0.05mm.Itisshownthattheproposedoptimizationmethodcanenhancethecameracalibrationaccuracy,especiallywhentheextractedpixelsareofpoorerprecision.

  • 简介:Flow-inducedvibrationoftwocircularcylindersintandemarrangementelasticallymountedwithamass-spring-dampingsystemwasstudiedbysolvingtheprimitivevariableNavier-StokesequationsincorporatingtheArbitraryLagrangian-Eulerian(ALE)method.Theconvectiontermanddissipationtermwerediscretizedusingthethird-orderupwindcompactschemeandthefourth-ordercentralcompactscheme,respectively.Thetypicalspacingbetweenthecylindersis4diameters,whichisclosetothecriticalvalue.Thedynamicresponseofthevibrationsontwocylinderswithtwo-degree-of-freedommotionisdifferentfromthatofanisolatedcylinder,andalsodifferentfromthatofacylindervibratinginthewakeofafixedupstreamone.Differentflowpatternswerefoundinthewake,andprovedtoberelevanttothediscontinuitiesobservedintheresponseoftheoscillatorycylinders.

  • 简介:Withtheincreasingnumberoflaserbeams,themaindifficultyinarrangingbeamguidingsystems(BGSs)involvesdeterminingthecorrespondingrelationshipsbetweentheoutputandinputportstorealizetheidentifiedlightpathlengthofallbeams.Giventhebasicconstraintsofgeometricarrangement,aBGSmodelisestablished,andabase-linealgorithmisproposedtoaddressthedifficultymentionedabove.Boundaryconditionsoftargetareaandtargetchamberarediscussedtoincreasethenumberoflaserbeams,andamaximumvalueexistsforaspecifictargetarea.Finally,thecompatibilityofacylindricalhohlraumtargetchamberwithasphericalhohlraumisanalyzed,andamoveablefinalopticsassemblyisproposedtoexecutetheswitchbetweenthetwodifferenttargets.
