简介:Thispaperpresentsanefficienttechniqueforprocessingof3Dmeshedsurfacesviasphericalwavelets.Morespecifically,aninput3Dmeshisfirstlytransformedintoasphericalvectorsignalbyafastlowdistortionsphericalparameterizationapproachbasedonsymmetryanalysisof3Dmeshes.Thissignalisthensampledonthespherewiththehelpofanadaptivesamplingscheme.Finally,thesampledsignalistransformedintothewaveletdomainaccordingtosphericalwavelettransformwheremany3Dmeshprocessingoperationscanbeimplementedsuchassmoothing,enhancement,compression,andsoon.Ourmaincontributionliesinincorporatingafastlowdistortionsphericalparameterizationapproachandanadaptivesamplingschemeintotheframeforprocessing3Dmeshedsurfacesbysphericalwavelets,whichcanhandlesurfaceswithcomplexshapes.Anumberofexperimentalexamplesdemonstratethatouralgorithmisrobustandefficient.
