简介：Objective:ToexploretherelationshipbetweenSTK15geneabnormalexpressionandlaryngealcarcinoma.Methods:Tumortissuesandmatchednormaltissuesweretakenfrom55LSCCpatients.Semi-quantitativereversetranscription-polymerasechainreaction(RT-PCR)wasusedtodetectSTK15expressionin110specimens.Results:In38ofthe55cases(69.1%),theSTK15expressionatthemRNAlevelswashigherthanthatofthepairednormaltissue.TheratioofADV(averagedensityvalue)ofSTK15genetoADVofβ-actingenewas1.22±0.49inthecancertissue,and0.99±0.54inthepairednormaltissuewithasignificantdifference(t=4.539,P<0.01).Conclusion:TherewasobviousassociationbetweentheSTK15overexpressionandlaryngealcarcinoma.Itmayserveasanalternativemechanismofactivatingthepathogenesisofhumanlaryngealsquamouscellcarcinoma.

简介：Objective:Noninvasivediffusion-weightedmagneticresonanceimaging(DWI)isawell-studiedMRimagingtechniqueforquantifyingwaterdiffusionespeciallyintumorarea.Thecorrelationbetweenapparentdiffusioncoefficient(ADC)valueandapoptosisorproliferationisnotclearbynow.ThisstudyaimedtoinvestigatewhetherDWI-ADCvaluecouldbeusedasanimagingmarkerrelatedwithpathologicindexesoftumors.Methods:Atotalof30Balb/cmicewithHT29colorectalcarcinomaweresubjectedtoDWIandhistologicanalysis.ThepercentageofADCchangesandtheapoptoticandproliferatingindexeswerecalculatedatpredefinedtimepoints.Kolmogorov-SmirnovdistanceswereconsideredtodeterminewhetherthepercentageofADCchanges,andtheapoptoticandproliferatingindexeswerenormallydistributed.Anindependent-samplest-testwasusedtoanalyzethedifferencebetweenapoptoticandproliferatingindexesinthetwogroups.Results:Therewasastatisticallysignificantdifferenceinproliferatingindexbetweentheradiotherapyandcontrolgroups(meanproliferatingindex:49.27%vs.83.09%),andtherewasastatisticallysignificantdifferenceinapoptoticindexbetweenthetwogroups(meanapoptoticindex:37.7%vs.2.71%).AsignificantpositivecorrelationwasfoundbetweenthepercentageofADCchangesoftheviabletissueandapoptoticindex.Pearson'scorrelationcoefficientwas0.655(P=0.015).AsignificantnegativecorrelationwasfoundbetweenthepercentageofADCchangesoftheviabletissueandki-67proliferationindex.Pearson'scorrelationcoefficientwas0.734(P<0.001).Conclusions:OurresultssuggestthatADCvaluemaybeusedinmeasurementofcellapoptoticandproliferatingindexesincolorectalcarcinoma.

简介：Objective:Toanalyzetheexpressionofinduciblenitricoxidesynthase(iNOS),endothelialnitricoxidesynthase(eNOS)andvascularendothelialgrowthfactor(VEGF)inhepatocellularcarcinoma(HCC)anditsrelationtoangiogenesis.Methods:Tissuesectionsfrom71HCCpatientswereexaminedimmunohistochemicallyforproteinexpressionofiNOS,eNOS,andVEGF.Microvessaldensity(MVD)wascountedbyendothelialcellsimmunostainedbyanti-CD34antibody.Results:PositiveimmunostainingforiNOS,eNOSwasdetectedin83.1%and85.9%ofHCCrespectively.INOSandeNOSwerenotdetectedinnormalhepatictissue.MVDwas34.3±1.5/HPand38.6±1.6/HPinHCCwithpositivestainingforiNOSandVEGFwhileitwas31.2±2.8/HP,and22.4±2.0/HPinHCCwithnegativestainingforiNOSandVEGF(P<0.01).AcorrelationbetweenNOSexpressionandVEGFinHCCwasnotobserved.Conclusion:iNOSandeNOSmayplayaroleinmalignanttransformationfpost-hepaticcirrhosis.TheexpressionofiNOSandVEGFfavorsangiogenesisofHCC.
