  • 简介:Forearthquakedisastermitigation,weusehistoricalrecordsandmorecompleteintensityinvestigationdatafrom1500to2015toanalyzeandestimatetheseismicintensityandfrequencyoftheearthquake-proneareasinYunnan.WedigitizedintensityobservationsanddividedtheYunnanregionintocellsizeof0.2°x0.2°tocalculatetheseismicintensity-frequencyrelationshipforeachcell.CombinedwitharepeatedcycleofintensityofonehundredyearsandpopulationeconomicsdatainYunnan,weanalyzefutureareasofconcern.Theresultscanprovideareferenceforearthquakehazardousareazoning.Thismethodisbasedonhistoricalearthquakedata,reducingasmuchaspossiblethevarioushypothesesfortheassessment,andthuscanconciselyreflectthedifferentintensityfrequencydistributionsoftheregion.

  • 简介:Inthiswork,weinvestigatethemethodstoimprovetheperformanceofthesweptsourceat1.0μmbasedonapolygonscanner,includingin-cavityparametersandboosterstructuresoutofthecavity.Thethreein-cavityparametersarethecavitylength,therotatingspeedofthepolygonscanner,andthein-cavityenergy.Withthedecreaseofcavitylength,thespectrumbandwidthbecomeswiderandthedutycyclebecomeshigher.Withtheincreaseoftherotatingspeedofthepolygon,thespectrumbandwidthbecomesnarrower,andthedutycyclebecomeslowerbuttherepetitionratebecomeshigher.Withmoreenergyin-cavity,thespectrumbandwidthbecomeswiderandthedutycyclebecomeshigher.Theboosterstructuresincludethebufferedstructure,secondaryamplifier,anddual-semiconductoropticalamplifierconfiguration,whichareusedtoincreasethesweepfrequencyto86kHz,theoutputpowerto18mW,andthetuningbandwidthto131nm,respectively.

  • 简介:Inthisstudy,wepresentanewmethodtocomputeinternalco-seismicdeformationsofahomogeneoussphere,basedonourpreviousapproach(Dongetal.2016).Inpracticalnumericalcomputations,weconsiderastrike-slippointsourceasanexample,andcomputetheverticalco-seismicdisplacementondifferentinternalsphericalsurfaces(includingtheEarthsurface).Numericalresultsshowthattheinternalco-seismicdeformationsaregenerallylargerthanthatontheEarthsurface;especially,themaximumco-seismicdisplacementappearsaroundtheseismicsource.Theco-seismicdisplacementsareoppositeinsignfortheareasoverandbeneaththepositionoftheseismicsource.Theresultsalsoindicatethatthecurvatureeffectoftheinternaldeformationisprettylarge,andlargerthanthatontheEarthsurface.Theresultsindicatethatthedislocationtheoryforasphereisnecessaryincomputinginternalco-seismicdeformations.

  • 简介:TheimpactofBrownCarbon(BrC)toaerosollightabsorptionhasbeenpaidmoreattentionrecentlyandtherearealargenumberofstudiesshowingthattheinfluenceofBrConradiativeforcingshouldnotbeignored.BrCalsoactsasanimportantcomponentofhazepollutionwhichisoccurringfrequentlyinWuhan,China.Therefore,itisessentialtoestimatetheiropticalproperties,composition,andmassconcentration.Consideringmosthazepollutionhappensduringthecoldesttime,weretrievedBrCcolumnarcontentduringwinterinWuhanforthefirsttime.OurmethodbasesonthefactthatBrCshowedthestrongspectraldependenceonUV-lightabsorption.Usingthismethod,wefoundthatBrCmakesupthesmallproportionsoftotalaerosolvolume(lessthan10%).Inthewinterof2011,weretrievedthedaily-averagedcolumnar-integratedmassconcentrationofBrConcleardayis4.353mg/m2whilethatofhazedayis12.750mg/m2.Accordingtothesensitivitystudy,wefoundthattheresultshighlyreliedontheassumedaerosolrefractiveindex.Toreducetheuncertaintyofthisapproach,weneedtogainabetterunderstandingofthetemporalvariabilityoftheradiationabsorbingcomponentsoftheseaerosolsinthefuture.

  • 简介:Agenetic-optimizationframeworkbasedonthepartialcooperationcommunicationprotocolisproposedforscalablevideocoding(SVC)streamtransmissionundermulti-relayamplifyandforwardcooperativenetworks.Unliketraditionalcooperativetransmissionschemes,thetransmissionmodeforeachcodedunitinthisnewprotocolcanbeswitchedflexiblybetweendirecttransmissionandcooperativetransmission.Obviously,underthisprotocol,thebandwidthefficiencyandtransmissionrobustnesscanbebalancedadaptivelyaccordingtotheprioritylevelofcodedunitsandwirelesschannelfadingcharacteristics.Basedonthis,awell-knowngeneticoptimizationalgorithm-differentialevolutionisexploitedheretofindthejointlyoptimaltransmissionmodes,powerallocationandunequalerrorprotection(UEP)channelcodingstrategiestominimizetheendtoendreconstructedvideodistortion.Extensivesimulationresultsshowthat,comparedwithclassicaloptimalcooperativeUEPtransmissionschemes,theproposedoptimizedtransmissionframeworkbasedonthepartialcooperativeprotocolcanbringsignificantpeak-signal-to-noise-ratio(PSNR)gainsforthereconstructedvideoinavarietyofchannelbandwidth,powerbudgetandtestsequences.

  • 简介:Theaccuratedetectionofcooperativetargetsplaysakeyandfoundationalroleinunmannedaerialvehicle(UAV)landingautonomously.Thestandardmethodbasedonfixedthresholdistoosusceptibletobothilluminationvariationsandinterference.Toovercomeissuesabove,arobustdetectionalgorithmwithtripleconstraintsforcooperativetargetsbasedonspectralresidual(TCSR)isproposed.Firstly,bydesigninganasymmetriccooperativetarget,whichcomprisesredbackground,greenHandtriangletarget,thecapturedoriginalimageisconvertedintoaLabcolorspace,whosesaliencymapisyieldedbyconstructingthespectralresidual.Then,thetripleconstraintsaredevelopedaccordingtothepriorknowledgeofthecooperativetarget.Finally,thesalientregioninsaliencymapisconsideredasthecooperativetarget,anditmeetsthetripleconstraints.ExperimentalresultsincomplexenvironmentsshowthattheproposedTCSRoutperformsthestandardmethodsinhigherdetectionaccuracyandlowerfalsealarmrate.

  • 简介:Shorelineextractionisfundamentalandinevitableforseveralstudies.Ascertainingtheprecisespatiallocationoftheshorelineiscrucial.Recently,theneedforusingremotesensingdatatoaccomplishthecomplextaskofautomaticextractionoffeatures,suchasshoreline,hasconsiderablyincreased.Automatedfeatureextractioncandrasticallyminimizethetimeandcostofdataacquisitionanddatabaseupdating.Effectiveandfastapproachesareessentialtomonitorcoastlineretreatandupdateshorelinemaps.Here,wepresentaflexiblemathematicalmorphology-drivenapproachforshorelineextractionalgorithmfromsatelliteimageries.Thesalientfeaturesofthisworkarethepreservationofactualsizeandshapeoftheshorelines,run-timestructuringelementdefinition,semi-automation,fasterprocessing,andsinglebandadaptability.Theproposedapproachistestedwithvarioussensor-drivenimageswithlowtohighresolutions.Accuracyofthedevelopedmethodologyhasbeenassessedwithmanuallypreparedgroundtruthsofthestudyareaandcomparedwithanexistingshorelineclassificationapproach.Theproposedapproachisfoundsuccessfulinshorelineextractionfromthewidevarietyofsatelliteimagesbasedontheresultsdrawnfromvisualandquantitativeassessments.

  • 简介:Verticallyexploringthecharacteristicsofthetyphoonboundarylayer(TBL)playsanimportantroleinrecognizingtyphoonstructure.TheboundarylayerradialdirectionandtangentialwindcharacteristicsofTyphoonUsagibasedontheobservationaldataofthreeboundarylayerwindprofilerstationsalongtherouteofTyphoonUsagi(No.1319)andbycombiningwithsoundingdata.Theresultsshowthat:(1)maximumtangentialwindappearsinthevicinityoftheeyeareaofUsagi,anditbasicallymaintainsaheightofaround1800mwhenUsagikeepsastrongtyphoonlevel,withtherapidlydecreasingstrengthofUsagiafteritlands,thespeedofthemaximumtangentialwindanditsverticalrangebothdecrease;(2)theheightofthemaximumtangentialwindisclosetothatoftheinflowlayertopofthetyphoon,andisgreaterthanthatoftheboundarylayerestimatedonthebasisofRichardsonnumberorpotentialtemperaturegradient,whiletheheightofmixedlayerjudgedonthebasisofthesignal-to-noiseratio(SNR)oritsgradientisusuallylow;(3)thetheboundarylayerheightcanreachhigherthan2100mbeforeUsagilands.Whenthetyphoonleveloraboveisachieved,theboundarylayerheightobservedbyvariousstationsdoesnotchangemuch,basicallystayingatbetween1200and1600m.WiththedecreasingstrengthofUsagiafteritslandfall,theboundarylayerheightrapidlydrops.

  • 简介:Thescatteringmatrixtheoryhasbeendevelopedtocalculatethethird-ordernonlineareffectinsphere-grapheneslabstructures.Bydesigningstructuralparameters,wehavedemonstratedthattheincidentelectromagneticwavecanbewellconfinedinthegrapheneinthesestructuresduetotheformationofaboundstateinthecontinuum(BIC)ofradiationmodes.Basedonsuchaboundstate,third-harmonic(TH)generationandfour-wavemixing(FWM)havebeenstudied.ItisfoundthattheefficiencyofTHgenerationinmonolayergraphenecanbeenhancedabout7ordersofmagnitude.Itisinterestingthatwecandesignstructureparameterstomakeallbeams(thepumpbeam,probebeam,andgeneratedFWMsignal)beBICsatthesametime.Insuchacase,theefficiencyofFWMinmonolayergraphenecanbeenhancedabout9ordersofmagnitude.BoththeTHandFWMsignalsaresensitivetothewavelength,andpossesshighQfactors,whichexhibitverygoodmonochromaticity.BytakingsuitableBICs,theselectivegenerationofTHandFWMsignalsforS-andP-polarizedwavescanalsoberealized,whichisbeneficialforthedesignofopticaldevices.

  • 简介:ThenanostructuredAl-basedcompositespossessthecombinationofhighyieldstrengthandgoodductility.Inthispaper,amicromechanicalmodelispresentedtosimulatethemechanicalresponseofbimodalnanostructuredAlandtheparticle-reinforcedaluminummatrixcomposite(PAMC).Theconstitutiverelationsfordifferentphasesareaddressedinthemodel,aswellasthecontributionofmicrocracks.NumericalresultsshowthatthemodelcansuccessfullydescribetheenhancedstrengthandductilityofthebimodalnanostructuredAl,andthepredictionsofthePAMCareingoodagreementwiththeexperimentaldata.ItisworthnotingthatthestrengthandductilityaresensitivetothevolumefractionofconstituentsandthedistributionofmicrocracksinbothbimodalnanostructuredAlandPAMC.Therefore,thepresenttheoreticalresultscanbeusedtooptimizethemicrostructureforimprovingthemechanicalpropertiesofnanostructuredAl-basedcomposites.
