  • 简介:Thispaperreportsthekineticsofgrouptransferpolymerization(GTP)ofethylacrylate(EA)withzinciodidecatalystin1,2-dichloroethaneusingdimethylketenemethyltrimethylsilylacetal(MTS)asinitiatorat0℃andabove0℃.Theamountofcatalystusedwasstudied.Whenzinciodidecatalystusedismorethan10mol%relativetomonomer,therateofpolymerizationisproportionaltotheconcentrationofmonomer,whereaszinciodidecatalystusedislessthan10mol%ofthemonomer,therateofpolymerizationisindependentofthemonomerconcentration.IntheGTPofEAaninductionperiodwasobservedwhenthezinciodidecontentsarelessthanl0mol%.Ifthereactiontemperatureisover0℃,livingspeciesbecomeunstableanddiminish,leadingtoincompletemonomerconversion.Thereactioncurvesequationsareobtained.Thepolymershavenarrowmolecularweightdistributionswhicharenotchangedasdecreasingzinciodidecontents.Thepolydispersityisabout1.2.

  • 简介:Polyepoxysuccinicacid(PESA),asanenvironmentalbenignbiodegradablechelant,wasusedtoremoveheavymetalsfromthesewagesludgeofShanghaiTaopuWastewaterTreatmentPlant.Theextractionofcadmium(Cd)fromsewagesludgeusingaqueoussolutionofPESAwasstudied.ItwasfoundthatPESAwascapableofextractingCdfromthesludge,andtheextractioneffciencywasdependentonbothpHandtheconcentrationofthechelatingreagent.TheextractioneffciencydecreasedgraduallywithincreasingofpH,whereasthedependencyonpHdecreasedastheconcentrationofPESAincreased.InthecaseofthehighPESAtototalmetalratio,e.g.,10:1,theextractioneffciencyreachedabove70%withinthepHrangefrom1to7.Thehighestextractioneffciencyobtainedintheexperimentwas78%.Bycomparingthecontentsoftheheavymetalsinsewagesludgebeforeandaftertheextraction,itwasfoundthattheextractedCdcamemainlyfromthefourfractions:acid-soluble,reducible,oxidizable,andwater-solublefractions.

  • 简介:Soilsalinityisoneofthemostimportantproblemsofcropproductioninestuarineandcoastalzones.Improvementinsalttoleranceofmajorfoodcropsisanimportantwayfortheeconomicutilizationofcoastalzones.Thisstudyprovedthattheapplicationofsalicylicacid(SA)improvedthegrowthandyieldundersaltstressconditionsandinvestigateditsphysiologicalmechanismsforsalttolerance.TheinvestigationontheeffectofSAforsalttoleranceduringgerminationshowedthatthedecreasedratesofgerminationandgrowth(intermsofshootandrootlengths)bythesaltstressweresignificantlyincreasedbytheSAapplication(SA+NaCl).ThetreatmentofSAtothehighandlowsalinesoilsenhancedthegrowth,yieldandnutrientvaluesofrice.TheeffectsofSAonNa+,K+andCl–ionicaccumulationweretracedundersaltstressconditionbyinductivelycoupledplasmaopticalemissionspectrometryandionchromatography.ItwasrevealedthattheincreasedaccumulationofNa+andClˉionsbythesaltstresswerereducedbySAapplication.AnincreasedconcentrationofendogenousSAlevelwasdetectedfromtheSA-treatedricevarieties(ASD16andBR26)byliquidchromatographyelectrosprayIonization-tandemmassspectrometry.Theactivitiesofantioxidantenzymessuchassuperoxidedismutase,catalaseandperoxidasewereincreasedbysaltstresswhereasdecreasedbytheSAapplication.ThestudyprovedthattheapplicationofSAcouldalleviatetheadverseeffectsofsaltstressbytheregulationofphysiologicalmechanisminriceplants.Inspiteofsaltstress,itcanbeappliedtothecoastalandestuarineregionstoincreasethericeproduction.
