简介:Sandblastingmachinesarewidelyusedinchemical,mechanicalandotherengineeringfields.Theinternalflowfieldofthesandblastingmachinebelongstoacomplexgas-solidtwo-phaseflow,andimpactbythecontinuousabrasivesandcancausethemachinetowearorevenfail.Inthisstudy,theEDEM-FLUENTcouplingmethodwasusedtocalculatethetransientflowfieldofthegasphaseandthemotion,dynamicandcollisioncharacteristicsofthesand.Airinthesandblastingmachinewastreatedastheidealgasandthecontinuousphase.Thesandwasregardedasthediscretephasesolidinthecomputation.UsingtheArchardwearmodel,thewearamountofthesandblastingmachinewascalculatedandthewearlawwasanalysed,toprovideatheoreticalbasisforoptimisingthedesignandoperationmethodoftheblastingmachine.

简介:Thepolarizationevolutionofvectorbeams(VBs)generatedbyq-platesisinvestigatedtheoreticallyandexperimentally.AnanalyticalmodelisdevelopedfortheVBcreatedbyageneralquarter-waveq-platebasedonvectordiffractiontheory.ItisfoundthatthepolarizationdistributionofVBsvarieswithpositionandthevalueq.Inparticular,fortheincidenceofcircularpolarization,theexitvectorvortexbeamhaspolarizationstatesthatcoverthewholesurfaceofthePoincarésphere,therebyconstitutingafullPoincarébeam.Fortheincidenceoflinearpolarization,theVBisnotcylindricalbutspecularlysymmetric,andexhibitsanazimuthalspinsplitting.Theseresultsareinsharpcontrastwiththosederivedbythecommonlyusedmodel,i.e.,regardingtheincidentlightasaplanewave.Byimplementingq-plateswithdielectricmetasurfaces,furtherexperimentsvalidatethetheoreticalresults.
简介:Wepresentahighlyefficientmethodofgeneratingandshapingellipseperfectvectorbeams(EPVBs)withaprescribedellipseintensityprofileandcontinuouslyvariantlinearpolarizationstate.Theschemeisbasedonthecoaxialsuperpositionoftwoorthogonallypolarizedellipselaserbeamsofcontrollablephasevortexservingasthebasevectorcomponents.Thephase-onlycomputer-generatedhologramisspecificallydesignedbymeansofamodifiediterationalgorithminvolvingacomplexamplitudeconstraint,whichisabletogenerateanEPVBwithhighdiffractionefficiencyinthevectoropticalfieldgenerator.WeexperimentallydemonstratethattheefficiencyofgeneratingtheEPVBhasanotableimprovementfrom1.83%intheconventionalcomplexamplitudemodulationbasedtechniqueto11.1%inourmethod.WealsodiscussanddemonstratethesimultaneousshapingofmultipleEPVBswithindependenttunableellipticityandpolarizationvortexinbothtransversal(2D)andaxial(3D)focusingstructures,provingpotentialsinavarietyofpolarization-mediatedapplicationssuchastrappingandtransportationofparticlesinmorecomplexgeometriccircumstances.
