Mesenchymal stromal cells＇ role in tumor microenvironment：involvement of signaling pathways-中国期刊网

摘要 Mesenchymalstromalcells(MSCs)areadultmultipotentstemcellsresidingaspericytesinvarioustissuesandorganswheretheycandifferentiateintospecializedcellstoreplacedyingcellsanddamagedtissues.Thesecellsarecommonlyfoundatinjurysitesandintumorsthatareknowntobehavelike'woundsthatdonotheal.'Inthisarticle,wediscussthemechanismsofMSCsinmigrating,homing,andrepairinginjuredtissues.WealsoreviewanumberofreportsshowingthattumormicroenvironmenttriggersplasticitymechanismsinMSCstoinducemalignantneoplastictissueformation,maintenance,andchemoresistance,aswellastumorgrowth.TheantitumorpropertiesandtherapeuticpotentialofMSCsarealsodiscussed.
