Calmodulin regulates the post-anaphase reposition of centrioles during cytokinesis

摘要 Atransientpostanaphaserepositioningofthecentrioleisfoundtocontrolthecompletionofcytokinesis.Usingagreenfluorescentprotein-calmodulinfusionproteinasalivingcellprobe,wehavepreviouslyfoundthatcalmodulinisassociatedwiththeinitiationandprogressionofcytokinesis.Inthisstudy,wefurtherstudiedtheeffectofcalmodulinontherepositioningofthecentrioleandsubsequentcellcycleprogression.Whenactivityofcalmodulinisinhibited,theregressionofthecentriolefromtheintercellularbridgetothecellcenterisblocked,andthusthecompletionofcelldivisionisrepressedandtwodaughtercellsarelinkedbylongercellbridgeinperturbedcells.W7treatmentduringcytokinesisalsoresultsinunfinishedcytokinesisandstoppedG1phase.Theseresultssuggestthatcalmodulinactivityisrequiredforcentriolerepositioningandcanaffectthecompletionofcytokinesisandcellcycleprogression.
