ThroughthestudyofthegeologicalconditionsofpotashdepositsinChinafromrecentyears,anewunderstandingofpotashtheorieshasarisenthatappropriateChinesegeologicalfeatures.Importantprogressandsubstantialbreakthroughshavebeengainedinthedirectionandmanagementofpotashprospecting:(1)Importantbreakthroughsincontinentalpotassiumprospecting:The"QuaternarygraveltypedeeppotassiumrichbrinemetallogenicmodelinwesternQaidam"ensuresQuaternarydeeppotassiumrichbrineprospectingwillgrownewKClresourcesby350Mt,providingaresourceguaranteeformeetingtheChinesedemandforsylvite.(2)TheMarinefaciespotashprospectingshowsgoodprospects:thedeterminationofthenewtypeofTriassicpolyhalitepotashoredepositsinSichuanprovideanimportantscientificbasisfortheestablishmentofexplorationplanningandtheselectionofexplorationtargetareasforpolyhalitemineralsintheSichuanBasin;The"two-storeypotashdepositsmodel"insouthwesternYunnanhasbeenconfirmed,whichindicatesprospectsfortheexplorationofpotashinthedeeperMarinefaciesinsouthwesternYunnanarelikelytobesuccessful.ThediscoveryofahighconcentrationofrichbromitesaltandpotashsaltinthePaleogeneoftheKuqadepressionandthesouthwesternTarimregionprovidesstrongsupportforthelikelihoodlarge-scalepotashdepositsexistintheseregions.
