IntroductionTheattitudestowardsforeignlearners’errorshavechangedremarkablyfromthe1960storecentyears.Intheeyesofbehaviouristsinthe1960s,errorswereconsideredterrible.Teacherstriedtostructuretheclassroomsituationsoastomakeitideallyimpossibleforstudentstomakeerrors.SincetheevolutionofChomsky’stheoryandmodernism,teachershavebeguntobelievethatcommunicationinthelanguageismoreimportantthanasterileperfectionofform.andtherefore,theyhavebecomemoretolerantofstudents’errors.Makingerrorshasbeenrecognisedmoreandmoreasinevitableandasanessentialpartoflanguagelearning.
