ReviewingtheexistingenvironmentalpoliciesinWesternChina,wefindthat:intimesequence,thecharacteristicsofChina’swesternenvironmentalpoliciesshiftfrom"developmentdrivegovernance"tothefullimplementationofenvironmentalprotectionandconstruction;andinspatialsequence,theecological,social,andeconomicdevelopmentofWesternChinareachtocoordinationthroughthenaturereservesetting,ecologicalmigrants,fiscaltransferpaymentanddifferentiatedecologicalenvironmentalpolicies.Duetotheimplementationofthepoliciesandprojects,environmentaldegradationtrendsinthewesternecologicalenvironmentwerealleviatedsignificantly,thelivingconditionsoffarmersandherdsmenwereimproved,andmanysuccessfulexperienceswereexplored.However,futureecologicalenvironmentalconstructioninWesternChinarequiresfurtherimprovementinintegratedplanning,eco-compensationmechanism,andpolicyassessment.Thispaperconcludeswithspecificrecommendationssuchasdrawingupecologicalenvironmentconstructionplanning,strengtheningenvironmentallawenforcementandincentivemechanisms,improvingpolicyassessmentandscientificsupport,enhancingenvironmentalprotectioncapacity,improvingeco-compensationmechanism,andrefiningtheenvironmentalpoliciesforkeyareas.
