A Comparison Study of Physicochemical Properties and Stabilities of H-Shaped Molecule and the Corresponding Polymer

Rareattentionhasbeenpaidtothecomparisonbetweenamonomeranditscorrespondingpolymerintermsoftheoptoelectroniccharacteristics.Inthisarticle,amodelH-shapedmoleculeanditscorrespondingpolymer,bothofwhichexhibitedsimilarpropertiesincludingblueemissionandsolutionprocessing,weredesignedandsynthesized.Optoelectronicpropertiesandvariouskindsofstabilityfeatures,includingthethermostabilities,spectralstabilitiesandamplifiedspontaneousemissioncharacteristicofthemonomerandpolymerwereinvestigated.Ingeneral,thecorrespondingpolymerPHexhibitedsimilaroptoelectronicpropertiesbutdeterioratedstabilitiescomparedwithitsH-shapedmonomerH-1probablyowingtothesimilarchemicalstructurebutthewidermolecularweightdistributionandmetalcatalystresidue.Importantly,monomerH-1displayedacomparableASEthresholdvaluewithitspolymerPH,suggestingthatH-shapedfluorene-basedsmallmoleculesmaybemorepromisingopticalgainmediainsolidstateamplifersandlasers.
