Toconfirmtheexistenceandpropertiesofhumanmeridians,theopticaltransportpropertiesalongthepericardiummeridianandtissuesaroundthepericardiummeridianarestudiednoninvasivelyontwentyhealthyvolunteersinvivoandthencomparedwitheachother.Ourstudyshowsthatthelightpropagatingalongthemeridianandnon-meridiandirectionsbothconformtotheBeer’sexponentialattenuationlaw.However,statisticalanalysisoftheresultssuggeststhattheopticaltransportpropertiesofhumanmeridiandifferfromthoseofthesurroundingtissuesoveralowmodulatedfrequencyrange(P<0.01),andlightattenuationalongthepericardiummeridianissignificantlylessthanthatalongthenon-meridiandirection.Thesefindingsnotonlyindicatetheexistenceofacupuncturemeridianfromthepointofviewofbiomedicaloptics,butalsoshednewlightonanapproachtoinvestigationofhumanmeridians.更多还原
