Thisstudyinvestigatesthemicrostructuresofmicroalloyedsteelsbeforeandafterstrainageingtreatment.Itwasfoundthatthemicrostructureconsistedofbothlathferriteandpearlite.Mostofthecarbidesand/ornitridesofmicroalloyingelementsweredistributedinsidethegrainswithasmallamountdistributedatthegrainboundaries.Theprecipitatedphasesinsidethegrainsweremuchsmallerinsizethanthoseatthegrainboundaries.Theprecipitatesareeithercircularorshortbar-like,ofsizesfromafewnanometerstoseveralhundrednanometers.Afterageing,onlycarbonatomssegregatearoundthedislocationsandnitrogendoesnotparticipateinproducingtheCottrellatmospherebecauseitwasfixedbyalloyingelementsbeforeageing.
