  • 简介:TheRockyMountainFoothillsliealongtheeasternmarginoftheRockyMountainfold-thrustbelt.TheareahasbeenthefocusofextensiveresearchaimedatlocatingoilandgasfieldswiththepotentialtobeusedasCO_2storagetraps.Inthisstudy,weuseaseismiclinefromtheCanadianRockiestointerpretthegeologicstructuresalongacross-sectionparalleltothetectonictransportdirection.Wethencompareourresultswiththoseofpreviousstudies.ThesectionwasrestoredusingtheMOVEsoftware(manufacturedbyMidlandValleyExplorationLtd.).Theprimaryobjectivesofthisworkare:(1)toconductastratigraphicandstructuralinterpretationofa2Dseismicprofile;and(2)toconductacross-sectionalrestorationofthestructuresinordertovalidatetheseismicinterpretationintermsofCO_2storagecandidates.Additionaldatasourcesincludemapsofthesurfacegeology,whichshowthattheageofhorizonsdecreasefromwesttoeast,andstratigraphicandstructuralprofilesderivedfromwelllogs.Theresultsofourstructuralrestorationindicateadetachmentfaultbetweentheforelandandhinterland.ThisfaultisresponsibleforthecuttingandsubsequentupwardsandeastwardsmovementofastratumlocatedbetweenthebasementandtheLateDevonianformation.Largethrustfaultsareresponsibleforthedeformationofstrata(throughbothfoldingandfaulting)

  • 简介:Thetidalasymmetry-inducedsiltationbelowtidalbarriersisaworldwideproblemthatrestrictsregionalsocio-economicandenvironmentaldevelopment.Thehydrodynamicprocessesofthesmallmudestuaryalsofeatureahighuncertaintyafterestuaryrestorationmeasures.Inthisstudy,ahydrodynamicmodelbasedontheMIKE21isusedtoquantifytheresponsesoftidalasymmetrytoatwo-phaserestorationprojectinShuanglongEstuary,BohaiBay,China.Accordingtothenumericalmodelingresults,thetidalflatremovalintheupperestuary(first-phaserestoration)inducesthefloodasymmetryswitchingtotheebbasymmetryinunrestoredreachbutenhancesfloodasymmetryinwideningrestoredreach.Althoughthetidalasymmetryrevertstoflood-dominatedpatternafterfullrestorationovertheestuary,theimbalancebetweenfloodandebbvelocitiesisrelieved.Apossiblenetsedimenttransportpatternbasedonacomparisonofdominantasymmetriccurrentandactualsedimenttransportperiodshowsnetsedimentsintheupperestuaryandinlettransportseawardandlandward,respectively,inthefirst-phaserestoration,whereaslandwardnetsedimenttransportoccursinthewholeestuaryunderthesecond-phaserestorationscenario.Giventheseresults,weassumethataswitchfromtheflood-dominatedestuarytoebb-dominatedestuarycanbecausedbyredesigningthecross-sectionalprofile.ThequantitativecomparisonofLagrangianresidualcurrentsalsoimpliesthatachannel–shoalstructureratherthanaflatbathymetrycanpromotethemasstransport.Therefore,reshapingthechannel–tidalflatsysteminrestorationprojectscanpreventthesedimentationoftheestuaryandimprovethewaterenvironment.

  • 简介:Thispaperinvestigatesthemaximumentropyrestorationofblurredbinaryimage.Inconcerningwiththebinarypropertyofimage,anewmaximumentropyrestorationmethodwithbinaryconstraintisproposed.Thepropertiesofexistenceanduniquenessofsolutionarediscussed.Theproblemofmaximumofentropywithtwoconstraintsissolvedandthecorre-spondingalgorithmisgiven.Inthispaper,themaximumboundedentropyprincipleisemployedconcerningthepriorknowledgeofbinaryimage,andthemaximumboundedentropyrestora-tionmethodwithbinaryconstraintisputforward.Theproposesmethods,Wienerfilter(WF)restorationmethodandmaximumentropyrestorationmethodarecompared.Theexperimen-talresultsshowthatthemaximumentropyrestorationmethodandmaximumboundedentropyrestorationmethodwithbinaryconstraintcanimprovethequalityofrestoredimage.

  • 简介:Brachialplexusinjuryisfrequentlyinducedbyinjuries,accidentsorbirthtrauma.Upperlimbfunctionmaybepartiallyortotallylostafterinjury,orleftpermanentlydisabled.Withthedevelopmentofvariousmedicaltechnologies,differenttypesofinterventionsareused,buttheireffectivenessiswideranging.Manyrepairmethodshavephasiccharacteristics,i.e.,repairsaredoneindifferentphases.Thisstudyexploredresearchprogressandhottopicmethodsforprotectionafterbrachialplexusinjury,byanalyzing1,797articlesconcerningtherepairofbrachialplexusinjuries,publishedbetween2004and2013andindexedbytheScienceCitationIndexdatabase.Resultsrevealedthattherearemanymethodsusedtorepairbrachialplexusinjury,andtheireffectsarevaried.Interventionmethodsincludenervetransfersurgery,electricalstimulation,celltransplantation,neurotrophicfactortherapyanddrugtreatment.Therapeuticmethodsinthisfieldchangeaccordingtothehottopicofresearch.

  • 简介:Background:Mangroverestorationseekstorestoreorrebuilddegradedmangrovesystems.Themethodsofmangroverestorationincludeecologicalprojectsandrestoration-orientedtechnologies,thelatterofwhicharedesignedtorestorethestructure,processesaswellasrelatedphysical,chemicalandbiologicalcharacteristicsofwetlandsandtoensuretheprovisionofecosystemservices.Asimportantcomponentsofmangroveecosystem,benthicorganismsandcrabsplayakeyroleinnutrientcycling.Inaddition,mangroverestoration,suchasvegetationrestorationmeasures,canleadtochangesinthebenthicfaunalcommunities.Thisstudyinvestigateswhetherthepresenceofdifferentmangrovespecies,ageandcanopycoverofmangrovecommunitiesaffectthedensityofcrabburrows.Methods:TheLuoyangjiangEstuary,inthesoutheastofFujianProvince,wasselectedasourresearcharea.Asurvey,covering14sites,wasconductedtoinvestigatetheimpactsofmangroverestorationonthedensityofcrabburrowsinfourrehabilitatedforestswithdifferentstandagesandcanopy.Results:Itwasfoundthatdifferencesinvegetationtypeshadalargeimpactoncrabdensityandthatthedensityofcrabburrowswasloweronexposedbeaches(non-mangrove)thanundermatureKandeliacandel,AegicerascorniculatumandAvicenniamarinacommunities.Ingeneral,theamountofleaflitteranddebrisonmangrovemudflatswasgreaterthanonthebeachesasfoodsourcesforcrabs.Two-factoranalysisofvariance(ANOVA)showsthatchangesinmangrovespeciesandagesincerestorationhaddifferenteffectsoncrabburrowdensity.Theeffectofcanopycoverwashighlysignificantoncrabburrowdensity.Conclusions:Theresultssuggestthatintheprocessofmangroverestorationthecombinedeffectsofmangrovestandage,canopycoverandotherfactorsshouldbetakenintoaccount.Thisstudyfurthersupportsthefindingsofthefuturescientificresearchandpracticeonmangroverestorationandmanagementmeasures.
