简介:Thestudyofstructure,thermodynamicstate,equationofstate(EOS)andtransportpropertiesofwarmdensematter(WDM)hasbecomeoneofthekeyaspectsoflaboratoryastrophysics.Thisfieldhasdemonstrateditsimportancenotonlyconcerningtheinternalstructureofplanets,butalsootherastrophysicalbodiessuchasbrowndwarfs,crustsofoldstarsorwhitedwarfstars.Therehasbeenarapidincreaseininterestandactivityinthisfieldoverthelasttwodecadesowingtomanytechnologicaladvancesincludingnotonlythecommissioningofhighenergyopticallasersystems,zpinchesandX-rayfreeelectronlasers,butalsoshort-pulselaserfacilitiescapableofgenerationofnovelparticleandX-raysources.ManynewdiagnosticmethodshavebeendevelopedrecentlytostudyWDMinitsfullcomplexity.Evenultrafastnonequilibriumdynamicshasbeenaccessedforthefirsttimethankstosubpicosecondlaserpulsesachievedatnewfacilities.RecentyearssawanumberofmajordiscoverieswithdirectimplicationstoastrophysicssuchastheformationofdiamondatpressuresrelevanttointeriorsoffrozengiantplanetslikeNeptune,metallichydrogenunderconditionssuchasthosefoundinsideJupiter’sdynamoorformationoflonsdaleitecrystalsunderextremepressuresduringasteroidimpactsoncelestialbodies.Thispaperprovidesabroadreviewofthemostrecentexperimentalworkcarriedoutinthisfieldwithaspecialfocusonthemethodsused.AlltypicalschemesusedtoproduceWDMarediscussedindetail.MostofthediagnostictechniquesrecentlyestablishedtoprobeWDMarealsodescribed.Thispaperalsoprovidesanoverviewofthemostprominentexamplesofthesemethodsusedinexperiments.Eventhoughthemainemphasisofthepublicationisexperimentalworkfocusedonlaboratoryastrophysicsprimarilyatlaserfacilities,abriefoutlineofothermethodssuchasdynamiccompressionwithz-pinchesandstaticcompressionusingdiamondanvilcells(DAC)isalsoincluded.Somerelevanttheoretic
简介:OnthebasisofNOAA/CPCdataofseasurfacetemperatureanomalyintheNinoregionsduringJan.1950-Dec.2003,thewaveletpowerspectrumofSSTwerestudiedwithsignificanceandconfidencetestingatdifferentscalesinthispaper.ItshowsthattheSSTareprovidedwithmulti-timescalesstructurenestedoneanother,andvaryonscalesof2-7years,8-20yearsand>30years.Themostsignificantvariationofthewarmandcoldepisodesisinthe4-yearbandofperiod.Thepower,frequencystructureandconfidenceofthesameepisodearedifferentindifferentNinoregions.TheintensityofoscillationsisincreasingatlowfrequencybandsanddecreasingathighfrequencybandsfromeasttowestintheNinoregions,especiallyafter1970.

简介:Theoscillationofmulti-timescalesandtheprocessoftransitionbetweencoldandwarmperiodsovermostpartsofChinaandits6regions(theNortheast,NorthChina,ChangjiangRiverValley,SouthChina,theSouthwest,theNorthwest)wereanalyzedwithwavelettransformationandbycomputingthevariancesofthewaveletcomponentsforthetemperaturegradeseriesduringJanuary191ItoFebruary2001,Thepredictionmodelforcoldandwarmperiodshasbeendevelopedandthetrendofcoldandwarmchangeinthecoming10yearsispredicted.Theresultsshowthattheoscillationwithperiodsofaround30-40yearswasthestrongestinthelast100yearsandthe3-yearoscillationinbothwinterandsummerwasalsostronger,especiallyinwinter.Thetransitiontimeofcoldandwarmperiodsintermsofwintermeandidnotcoincidewiththatofannualmean,butthedifferencebetweensummermeanandannualmeanisless.Theprocessesoftransitionof6regionsaresomewhatdifferent,theirmaincharacteristicsarethatthebeginningyearofsignificantwarmingfor1980sto1990swasverydifferentforthesouthernandthenorthernpartofChina.Itisfoundthatthestrongeroscillationwith3-yearperiodcausescoolinginNortheastChinainrecentseveralwinters.Theexperimentalpredictionsshowthatthemodelsusedinthepapercanprojectthemajortransitionbetweenhighandlowtemperatureperiods.
