简介:Purpose:Theaimofthisstudywastoevaluatetheprogram"Nomoresmoking!It’stimeforphysicalactivity",withamixedmethodsdesign,inordertocollectinformationtoimprovetheprogramforfutureapplications.Methods:Fortypatientsacrossfiveanti-smokingclinicsinCentralGreececompletedtheprogram.Counselors’recordsandparticipants’questionnairesandinterviewswereusedasdatainordertoevaluatetheprograms’processandoutcome.Results:Quantitativemeasuresbeforeandaftertheprogramrevealedsignificantdifferencesonsmokingbehavior,physicalactivity(PA)behavior,self-efficacy,andsmokinghabitmeasures.QualitativedataimpliedthatthepromotionofPAasacessationaidwasperceivedaspositivebytheparticipantsandbothparticipants’andcounselors’statementswereencouragingfortheeffectivenessofPApromotionduringtheprogramasacessation-aidtechnique.Conclusion:Evaluationofthe"Nomoresmoking!It’stimeforphysicalactivity"programshowedencouragingresults.PeoplewhotrytoquitsmokingcanbecomemorephysicallyactivethroughtargetedinterventionandtheyregardPAasasignificantaidintheireffortstoquitsmoking.

简介:Asanimportantelementinsustainablebuildingdesign,thebuildingenvelopehasbeenwitnessingaconstantshiftinthedesignapproach.Integratingmulti-objectiveoptimization(MOO)intothebuildingenvelopedesignprocessisverypromising,butnoteasytorealizeinanactualprojectduetoseveralfactors,includingthecomplexityofoptimizationmodelconstruction,lackofadynamic-visualizationcapacityinthesimulationtoolsandconsiderationofhowtomatchtheoptimizationwiththeactualdesignprocess.Toovercomethesedifficulties,thisstudyconstructedanintegratedbuildingenvelopedesignprocess(IBEDP)basedonparametricmodelling,whichwasimplementedusingGrasshopperplatformandinterfacestocontrolthesimulationsoftwareandoptimizationalgorithm.ArailwaystationwasselectedasacasestudyforapplyingtheproposedIBEDP,whichalsoutilizedagrid-basedvariabledesignapproachtoachieveflexibleoptimumfenestrations.Tofacilitatethestepwisedesignprocess,anovelstrategywasproposedwithatwo-stepoptimization,whichoptimizedvariouscategoriesofvariablesseparately.Comparedwithaone-stepoptimization,thoughtheproposedstrategyperformedpoorlyinthediversityofsolutions,thequantitativeassessmentofthequalitiesofPareto-optimumsolutionsetsillustratesthatitissuperior.
简介:Background:The2mostcitedsportsinjurypreventionresearchframeworksincorporateinterventiondevelopment,yetlittleguidanceisavailableinthesportsscienceliteratureonhowtoundertakethiscomplexprocess.Thispaperpresentsageneralizableprocessfordevelopingimplementablesportsinjurypreventioninterventions,includingacasestudyapplyingtheprocesstodevelopalowerlimbinjurypreventionexercisetrainingprogram(FootyFirst)forcommunityAustralianfootball.Methods:Theinterventiondevelopmentprocessisunderpinnedby2complementarypremises:(1)thatevidence-basedpracticeintegratesthebestavailablescientificevidencewithpractitionerexpertiseandenduservaluesand(2)thatresearchevidencealoneisinsufficienttodevelopimplementableinterventions.Results:Thegeneralizable6-stepinterventiondevelopmentprocessinvolves(1)compilingresearchevidence,clinicalexperience,andknowledgeoftheimplementationcontext;(2)consultingwithexperts;(3)engagingwithendusers;(4)testingtheintervention;(5)usingtheory;and(6)obtainingfeedbackfromearlyimplementers.Followingeachstep,interventioncontentandpresentationshouldberevisedtoensurethatthefinalinterventionincludesevidence-informedcontentthatislikelytobeadopted,properlyimplemented,andsustainedovertimebythetargetedinterventiondeliverers.ForFootyFirst,thisprocessinvolvedestablishingamultidisciplinaryinterventiondevelopmentgroup,conducting2targetedliteraturereviews,undertakinganonlineexpertconsensusprocess,conductingfocusgroupswithprogramendusers,testingtheprogrammultipletimesindifferentcontexts,andobtainingfeedbackfromearlyimplementersoftheprogram.Conclusion:Thissystematicyetpragmaticanditerativeinterventiondevelopmentprocessispotentiallyapplicabletoanyinjurypreventiontopicacrossallsportssettingsandlevels.Itwillguideresearcherswishingtoundertakeinterventiondevelopment.

简介:BaFe12O19fiberswaspreparedviaanaqueoussol-gelprocessusingFe(OH)(HCOO)2synthesizedinlaboratoryandBa(CH3COO)2astheoriginalmaterialsandcitrateasthechelate.Therheologicalbehaviourofspinnablesolwascharacterizedonrheometer,andthedevelopmentofgelfiberstobariumferritefiberswasstudiedbyIR,TGandXRD.MorphologyobservationofthefiberswasgivenonSEM,andthediameteroftheobtainedfiberswasbetween5and10μmcorrespondingtodifferentadditives.Theadditivesaffectedthesurfacetensionoftheprecursorsolwhichhadcloserelationtothemicrostructureoffibers.Sucroseandhydroxyethyliccellulosecouldimprovethesurfacetensionwhilediethanolamineandhexadecylaminereducethatoftheprecursorsol.Andusingdiethanolamineorhexadecylamineasanadditive,well-structuredBaFe12O19fiberscouldbeobtained.
